Firmware updates keep your Basis system secure, reliable, and up to date.
Depending on your role i.e. user or installer, the process is completed through either the Home App or the Trade App.
🏠 Updating Firmware via the Home App (For Home Users)
Home users will be notified in the Home App when a firmware update is available.
🔄 Steps to Update:
- Open the Home App
- A prompt will appear if an update is available.
- Begin the Update
- You must be physically near the panel.
- Press the Basis button on the panel to confirm.
- System Actions
- The firmware update will download.
- The System Manager will restart, temporarily disconnecting from the internet.
- Circuit and Power Updates

Circuits will update.

When prompted by the app, press the Basis button twice.

This will cause a temporary whole-home power loss.

🛠 Updating Firmware via the Trade App (For Electricians)
When using the Trade App, firmware updates become available after you connect to a panel.
🔄 Steps to Update:

Connect to the Panel

Ensure Bluetooth connection to the panel is established.

Initiate the Update

The app will automatically check for firmware updates.

If available, you’ll be prompted to begin the update.

Start Update Process

The update will be downloaded to the panel.

The System Manager will restart.

The circuits will begin updating.

Physical Confirmation

You will be prompted to press the Basis button twice on the panel to proceed.

Temporary Power Loss

Power to the home will be briefly interrupted during the circuit update.

Once the update completes, normal configuration access is restored.
