If you're moving out of a home with a Basis Smart Panel, the data associated with the panel doesn't follow you automatically. Instead, it remains linked to the panel itself. This means the new owners can access your usage data when they connect to the panel.
To protect your information, we recommend requesting a data reset before you move. This ensures the next homeowner starts with a clean slate, and your usage history, plan details, and preferences are no longer accessible from the panel or app.
What to do:
Before you hand over the property, get in touch with our support team and ask for a panel data reset. You may be asked to supply proof of settlement as part of the process. Once completed, all your associated data will be purged, and the panel will be ready for the next user to set up with their own details.
