What do the lights on my panel mean?

The Basis Smart Panel gives you unprecedented insights into your power usage. But what do the panel lights mean?

Every circuit on the Basis Smart Panel is equipped with two status lights. These lights can illuminate in four colours: red, blue, yellow or white. Additionally, they have various display modes, including solid, slow fade in/out, slow blinking, or fast blinking.

Both Lights Are Black and Solid
This signifies that the circuit is off.

Both Lights Are Red and Solid
This signifies that the circuit is active and operating as intended.

Both Lights Are Red and Fading In/Out
This signifies that the circuit is in standby mode. While the circuit remains healthy, it is not currently receiving power. You can easily reactivate the circuit using your Home App.

Both Lights Are Blue and Blinking Slowly
This indicates that the circuit requires an update and your attention is needed. Please refer to your Basis Home App for step-by-step instructions on how to proceed with the update.

Both Lights Are Yellow and Solid
This indicates that an electrical fault has been detected in the circuit. For further details regarding the issue, please refer to the e-Ink display or check your Basis Home App. It is recommended to have a Basis Certified Electrician inspect the circuit to determine the best course of action.

Both Lights Are Yellow and Blinking Slowly
This indicates a critical system fault. For additional information, please consult the e-Ink display or your Basis Home App. It is recommended to have a Basis Certified Electrician evaluate the circuit to determine the best course of action.

Both Lights Are Yellow and Blinking Quickly
This indicates a critical system fault. It is crucial to reach out to a Basis Certified Electrician as soon as possible for immediate assistance.
