At Basis, we're committed to earning and keeping our customers' trust - and that includes in the way we manage your data. We will handle all personal and home energy usage data in a way that's transparent, secure, and in the best interests in our users and communities. In short, your individual data - including your household consumption and your electrical safety and fault information - is collected to drive the insights you can see within your Home app. Basis may use this data to continually improve our products or services, and when things go wrong, your Basis Certified Electrician may use this data to help identify, diagnose and fix electrical faults. 

Basis may use fully anonymised and aggregated data (where no individually identifiable data is included) to work with trusted third parties such as energy networks, government bodies or sustainability partners, where doing so will deliver wider benefits. 

If you are uncomfortable with sharing your data in any way, we understand. Data sharing is an integral part of using our Home App - but don't worry, if you choose to opt out, your Basis Panel will still function as a state of the art home management system with enhanced safety features - just without the insights and automations our app unlocks.
