Is the Basis Smart Panel compliant with electrical safety regulations?

Yes. Download our compliance letter below and keep it on file, or pass it on to a client or inspector who asks.

The letter is signed by our Head of Compliance and Quality and covers both the Smart Panel and the Circuit Module inside it. In short, it confirms:

Basis Smart Panel The Smart Panel does not require a Supplier Declaration of Conformity (SDoC), as it is not medium-risk electrical equipment under WorkSafe New Zealand's list.
  • 🇳🇿 New Zealand: Basis holds an International Accreditation New Zealand |  IANZ endorsed test report to AS/NZS 61439.1 and  AS/NZS 61439.3

  • 🇦🇺 Australia: This above accreditation supports its registration as a Level 1 product on the Electrical Equipment Safety System (EESS) database.
Circuit Module The Circuit Module is a high-risk article, so it is certified through a recognised third-party certifier and registered on the EESS database.
Regulatory Compliance Mark (RCM) Both are marked with the Regulatory Compliance Mark (RCM), and WorkSafe accepts EESS registration as evidence of compliance.

Checking it yourself

Our registrations are public. Anyone can look them up on the EESS database at eess.gov.au under our supplier number E10536.

  • That is a useful line to give an inspector who would rather check the source than take a letter at face value.
