What happens to the functionality of the Smart Panel if Basis ceases to operate?

With all the fancy features in a Basis Smart Panel, we want you to have confidence that it'll continue to function no matter what happens.

We understand that putting your home's safety and functionality in the hands of the new kid on the block can seem like a risk. Rest assured, we intend to be around for a long time, but we do have some safeguards in place for you. 

With or without Basis the company, the Basis Smart Panel will still function as a phenomenally safe switchboard - power and safety are all locally managed within the panel and can always be physically controlled. After sales service or repairs are provided by your local Basis trained sparky - of which there are quite literally hundreds nationwide to choose from. Their training and certification would not expire. 

The Basis Home app requires a connection to the Basis cloud, and would no longer operate - but fault protection would still be active on the physical panel and could always be controlled from there.
